Oils

Oil paints are elegant, adaptive, and have shown me the true meaning of patience and dedication. This medium is naturally slow drying and requires me to set aside a work space for multiple days, or even weeks while I complete a painting. As someone who’s grown up in the age of short form-media and instant messaging, I often forgo allowing myself to enjoy a process. Working in separate sessions is great because I have many opportunities to step away from my work and refresh my eyes. After spending many hours developing, changing, and refining a composition, I am usually left feeling extremely appreciative for the journey.
